Paint Your Way Through Science:
Is your student interested in learning more about painting with acrylics? Do they love the ocean, sky, and stars? This class would be the perfect fit for them!
Each lesson begins with science facts pulled from Apologia Science books and finishes with the students painting what we learned about. They will learn about color mixing and theory, using brushes and other tools, blending, and composition.
This will set your child up well for more advanced painting classes. This class builds upon itself, methodically taking your student through science and nature as the projects become more advanced.
This school-year-long class is broken up into 3 sections:
In the meteorology section, students will learn the names of different types of clouds and learn to paint them. They'll also learn about and paint tornadoes and storms!
In astronomy, students will learn how to paint the night sky, including meteors, constellations, the Milky Way, and planets!
In the marine biology section, students will learn about different sea creatures, the continental shelf, sea shells, and more! They will learn to paint in detail and precision through this section.
Join us as we learn about this beautiful world and paint with brilliant colors- sure to make each class an exciting learning experience!
Note: It is recommended to have previous drawing experience before taking this class. See the class list for ideal beginner drawing classes to set your student up well for higher-level classes.
